At its basic level, Music Therapy is the use of a combination of vocal and instrumental sounds to improve health and quality of life. However, unlike clinical music therapy where interventions such as singing, songwriting, playing instruments, and rhythmic dancing are used for conditions such as acquired brain injuries, developmental disabiities, hearing impairments, and speech and language impairments, at Healing Vibrations Wellness Centre, our focus is instead on using all facets of music therapy (spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical) to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and minimize pain. To do this, we combine music with Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy and Guided Imagery, teach Music Meditation, and have a variety of binaural beats, monaural beats, isochronic tones, and meditations you can listen to on the Vibroacoustic Therapy bed or on their own.
At Senses, we bring back the playfulness with our room of meditative activities that allow you to engage and enhance the senses by focusing the mind on sensory objects and activities.
